How to Track Any Free to Air Channels On DSTV Decoders

• Remove the ‘LNB in’ cable at the back of the DSTV decoder.
• Switch ON the decoder and ignore the message on the TV screen telling you ‘there is no signal’.
• Press the DSTV/MENU/Blue button on the decoder’s remote controller.
• While on the menu, 
• go to ‘SETTINGS’.
• Select ‘SATELLITE SETTING’.
• Choose ‘ADDITIONAL NETWORKS’.
• Select ‘NETWORK 1’.
• Change ‘Enable Network’ to ‘YES’.

Most Important!

• Now you will notice that other information in the network 1 window is editable.
• Go to frequency and input the free to air satellite TV frequency you want to track.

However, for M.Sc in Financial Management Technology and Management Technology candidates must possess O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two subjects from Physics, Biology, Agricultural Science, and Geography

2.2  M.Sc in Optometry

Candidates applying for the Master of Science (M.Sc) in Optometry programme must possess any of the following in addition to O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

i.   A Doctor of Optometry (O.D) degree with a minimum of 50 CGPA on a 5-point scale or 2.50 CGPA on a 4-point scale in the related area from FUTO or from any other recognized University.

ii.  Completion of one-year internship programme and NYSC programme

2.3  M.Sc in Gender Studies

Candidates applying for the Master of Science (M.Sc) in Gender Studies programme must possess any of the following:

i.   Higher National Diploma (HND) Upper Credit or above plus PGD in Gender Studies

ii.  Bachelors Degree in the relevant discipline from FUTO or any other recognized University with at least a Third Class Honours plus a PGD in Gender Studies.

iii.  A good Bachelors Degree with at least Second Class Honours in other related disciplines.

4.  DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PhD)

- The face has to be in the center.
- The photograph needs to be the same size as for the passport.
- The image has to be clear.

P.S. Sometimes you can face an unpleasant problem when trying to use the client. In case you see the message 'Get the updated version’ you are highly advised to uninstall the tool. Download it again and proceed through the installation once again.

Method 2. Via browser
Many people who search for NYSC biometric registration option come across the online method:

Step 1.
This method used to be based on internet and some updates. You will need a computer with internet connection and Java Runtime 6, 7 or 8.

Step 2.
It was possible to use any online browser, get drivers for Digital Persona Scanner and successfully scan fingerprints.
Although, according to the official NYSC biometric registration requirements listed on NYSC website https://portal.nysc.org.ng/, this online method of scanning biometrics for registration is no longer supported. So please be very attentive!

Dont Fall for This New ATM Scam Alert Fraudsters Use

This fraud usually occurs at the ATM galleries. An 18-year-old customer and another 'rich' adult customer were victims and now they have their BVN flagged for live and have cases to answer with the Police, and with their bank accounts on Post-No-Debit.

This is how it works;

1. You walk to an ATM and someone (fraudster) approaches you. The person may show you wads of cash and claim they have exceeded their withdrawal limit of 150k, and that they still need more cash. They then plead to make a money transfer into your own bank account so that you can withdraw it for them.

2. The TROUBLING thing in this seemingly harmless random act of kindness is that transfers are usually made from STOLEN PHONES or HACKED BANK ACCOUNTS!!!

3. The person who owns the bank account which the money transfer was initiated from would report to his bank, and the bank would send out a circular to the recipient's bank with instructions to be carried out - which usually includes freezing your own account, BVN flagging, and on most times an order for your apprehension.

4. The next thing you would discover is that the next time you try to use your ATM card to withdraw, your transactions will be unsuccessful.

5. You then go to your bank and you get the news. You will thank your stars if there's no MEMO to apprehend you and hand you over to the Police immediately - for something you surely don't know about. You may be advised to quickly go get a Police Report.

The 18-year-old boy was sent to withdraw money from his bank account by his Mom. On getting to the ATM, he was held at gun point by the fraudsters and the money transfer was made, money withdrawn, and he was released. The money here was 40k. The boy was advised to report himself to the Police, and he should follow up with the bank.

The adult customer was approached respectfully by a fraudster brandishing loads of cash. So, he felt at ease and 'helped', not knowing he had been exposed for flagging. Here, the amount of money involved was 50k. The customer who has about 1 million naira in his bank account has now been undone because of 50k he knows nothing about. Now, there's a MEMO to have the customer arrested anytime he steps into any of the bank branches.

Who knows if the stolen phones were acquired via One Chance armed robbers or the bank transfer details were supplied by Serial Hackers? This is a serious criminal issue.

Remember, if you have your BVN flagged, then you are so done with any legal financial dealings.

DO NOT HELP ANYBODY AT THE ATM!!! NOT EVEN AN OLD FRIEND, CHURCH MEMBER OR WHATSOEVER. SAY NO TO STRANGERS WHO APPROACH YOU FOR ANY TRANSFER FOR WITHDRAWAL AT THE ATM.

UNN Admission Requirements For Direct Entry & UTME Students

In this post, i will like to highligh what you need to know about the University of Nigeria popularly known as UNN, the requirements and Procedures for their Direct Entry into the school.

Direct Entry candidates if successful will begin their programme from second year if admitted, unlike UTME Admission through JAMB which assures admission into 100 Level.

Some Candidates for Direct Entry who had an NCE or ND certificate from a recognized College of Education or Polytechnic respectively may also be eligible for DE admission into any University in Nigeria.

Lets not write too much, the requirements for Direct Entry (DE) candidates are as follows.

1. A minimum of five (5) GCE/WASCE credits at not more than two sittings with at least two Principal or Advanced level C.E. and the others.
2. Two passes at the IJMB Advanced Level Examination, Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognised institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects (SUBJECT TO UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS).
3. Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND. Education may be accepted as a third A’ Level subject for those taking courses in Education.
4. Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma including the O’Level requirements.
5. Candidates are to note that they will be required to provide their JAMB registration number which they used in gaining admission to NCE, Diploma etc for Direct Entry admission.

HOW TO APPLY FOR UNIZIK JUPEB ADMISSION

1. Visit: portal.unizik.edu.ng/jupeb
2. Click on create profile. Enter your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, Email, Phone number etc. and click on SUBMIT.
A Registration number and password will be generated for you. Print or copy out both the Registration number and password for login and click on Finish to be redirected to the login page.
3. Enter the Registration Number as your username and the password as your password, and click on LOGIN.
4. Click on STEP ONE, click on Generate RRR. Your registration number name, email, phone number and application form fee of 15,000 naira will be displayed. Click on GENERATE.
5. Print out your invoice and proceed to bank to make the required payment of 15,000 naira. The account number is the RRR number on your invoice
6.Visit the portal 2 hours after your bank payment, login with your Registration number and your password.
7.Click on STEP TWO, click on Confirm Payment. Your registration number, name, e-mail and phone number will be displayed. Enter the RRR number and click on VERIFY PAYMENT. You will see a notification: “payment verification successful” or “Transaction pending”. If your payment verification is successful proceed to (8), else retry (7) until the payment verification is successful.
8. Click on STEP THREE, click fill application form, fill out the application form and click on SUBMIT
9.Print out your acknowledgment slip:

what are the unimaid jamb cutoff for all Departments 2018/19

the Joints Admission and Matriculation board (JAMB) had given a bench mark of 180 and above for candidates applying for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education. Hitherto, the University of Maiduguri has follow suit in the 180 general cut of mark of JAMB.

You might ask yourself these question: I have 180 and above but was not still given the admission to study my desired course?

Candidates with higher scores are first considered; in admission basics, candidates with lower scores though might meet the cut off mark of 180 may likely not be admitted. In fact, it is the higher your scores, the higher the chance of being admitted.

UNIMAID Departmental Cut off Mark 2018

The University of Maiduguri does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses. However, candidates who have scored a minimum of one 180 in UTME examination is eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses.

Due to the high number of students wishing to study in the University of Maiduguri, the admission processes is competitive and an admission is given based on JAMB score and O level grades.
Below are courses offered in the university as well as their cut off mark;

1. 220 – 240 – Medicine (O’ Level result with one sitting only) and Nursing
2. 200 – Mass Communication, Common Law, Pharmacy, Anatomy, Physiology
3. 190 – Computer Science, English Language, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Geology, all engineering courses except Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering.

Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses; have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the JAMB Brochure and the requisite ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level.
